Happy Mabon to all you Southern Hemisphereians 🙂

Been looking up some things to do with a young one on Mabon…and here they are

Edible Autumn Leaves
Find some suitable sized edible leaves (like celery, basil, or if you’re happy to use them, washed stre leaves, and some chocolate for melting. Melt the chocolate and with a clean small paintbrush, paint one side of the leaves with the chocolate and place on wax paper and put in the fridge until set. When set carefully peel the leaves off the chocolate.

Maybe use a mixture of normal milk choc and white, so some can be light brown, and use colouring (you need special chocolate stuff or the chocolate will seize) to make orange, red and green leaves.

(and there is a chant there too which is nice)

Baked Apples
Take some apples and core them but not all the way through. Put a teaspoon of sugar, some cinnamon and some currants/raisins/sultanas and poke them in the hole. (you can them spoon some red wine or grape juice in). Peel a small section of the peel off from around the hole (stops the apple going wrinkly) and bake in the oven until the apple is soft
