Seven Sisters

This Year’s Seven Sisters festival was great as always 😀

After seeing people put business cards and flyers up last year, I thought I’d put some baskets of free pantyliners around the place and advertising for Cloth Pad Shop and Obsidian Star around the place 😀

I had some Lunette samples and a pad sample attached to the basket so people could feel and play with them,  Sadly people stole them 😦  Also some business cards, coupon cards and info leaflets.  Hopefully it’s persuaded some women to give cloth a try!

We got to see Wendy Rule and Rachel Samuel perform – So lovely!  (I skipped a workshop I really wanted to do, just to see them)

 

We went to a Sari draping workshop to learn how to wear a Sari!

 

“Ilha Sorm” performed on the Friday night (2 sets) and then Roving on Sunday!

Sadly there doesn’t seem to be any pics of our costumes from the Friday 😦  and the only video we have is *really* dark and you can’t see anything, but I think it went well…

Mooroolbark Festival

Hot off the heels of Moomba, it was time to get our shimmy on again for the Mooroolbark Festival!

We were in the parade (no pics, I forgot the camera d’oh!  but I borrowed some of other people’s photos :D)

Then we did some roving performances and some in the foyer of the Community Centre

Moomba

We (OMEDA) were right up the front of the parade!  So we had rehearsals weeks before that…. very hot the day of the parade and lots of standing around in the blaring hot sun getting dehydrated before we even started parading 😛  But I think we looked awesome!
